Cloves may get in both whole and ground forms, it is the flower buds of the clove tree, which is scientifically known as Syzygium Aromaticum.
As well as containing several important vitamins and minerals, cloves are rich in antioxidants it contain a compound called eugenol, which has been shown to act as a natural antioxidant also ground cloves contain vitamin C. Antioxidants are compounds that reduce oxidative stress, which can contribute to the development of chronic disease.
The compounds in cloves may reduce cancer cell growth and promote cancer cell death also it may promote oral health, thanks to their antimicrobial properties, which may help kill harmful bacteria. Cloves may help promote insulin production and lower blood sugar.
